FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE :

The Denver Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Career Education Center (CEC) Middle College of Denver High School to officially adopt the Denver Public School.

Special Agent in Charge James H. Davis and CEC Principal Randy Johnson signed the document in front of students who have participated in the program that started in October 2008 and will continue until May 2009.

Background

The Adopt-A-School Program puts FBI Special Agents and professional support staff members into local schools to educate and mentor students. The Adopt-a-School Program is in our 56 field offices and in some of our Headquarters offices in the Washington, D.C. area. Some of our offices adopt elementary schools; others, middle or high schools—all of the schools are in areas where kids are considered to be "at risk."
