Federal Bureau of Investigation For Immediate Release The FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force is asking for the media’s assistance in getting information to the public requesting their assistance in identifying four individuals wanted in connection with several metropolitan area bank robberies. On January 28, 2008, at approximately 0948, four black males wearing hoodies and masks entered the Bank of the West located at 6565 E. Evens Avenue, Denver, Colorado. The suspects brandished handguns and robbed the bank. The robbers fled the bank in a stolen vehicle which was recovered by the Denver Police Department a short distance from the bank. The FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force is investigating this robbery as being related to a string of similar "take-over" robberies which have occurred throughout the Denver metro area at Washington Mutual Banks. In all of these robberies the suspects appear to be young dark skinned males wearing hooded sweatshirts or jackets as well as masks and are often using stolen vehicles to flee the scene of the robbery. The attached photographs have been obtained from bank surveillance cameras. Due to the violent nature of these "take-over" style robberies the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force is offering a very substantial cash reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of these robbers. Anyone with information should contact the FBI at (303) 629-7171.
