Federal Bureau of Investigation November 28, 2008 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: The FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who robbed the FIRST BANK located at 5130 West 120 Avenue, Westminster, Colorado on November 20, 2008. Investigators suspect this robber is also responsible for a bank robbery that occurred on April 5, 2006 , at the FIRST BANK located at 13600 Colorado Boulevard, Thornton, Colorado. In both instances, the robber entered the bank pointing a handgun at customers and bank employees. The robber verbally demanded money while pointing the handgun directly at a teller. The robber took the money and fled the bank. He was last seen in a dark brown or maroon Chevrolet Tahoe or similar type SUV. Investigators are asking for anyone who may have information pertaining to either robbery to please call. The robber was described as a white or Hispanic male, dark hair with a scarf or some type of material covering the lower half of his face. Additionally, during the robbery in 2006 he wore a baseball cap and leather jacket; and, during the robbery last week, he wore a beanie or knit cap, jeans and work boots (see attached surveillance photographs).
