For Immediate Release

The following armed bank robber has robbed two banks in the metro area, one in Arvada, and one in Thornton. We are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying him.

On July 2, 2008, at approximately 11:22 in the morning, he entered the Compass Bank located at 7375 Ralston Road, Arvada, Colorado.  He walked into the bank and pointed a gun at an elderly female and ordered her and everyone to the ground.  He then went to the victim teller and robbed her of her cash.  He was last seen leaving the area on foot.

On July 24, 2008, at approximately 1:39 in the afternoon, he entered the Bank of the West located at 12080 Colorado Boulevard, Thornton, Colorado.  The robber entered the bank and pointed the gun at two victim tellers and stole their money.  He was last seen leaving the area on foot.

The robber is described as follows:

White or light skin Hispanic Male
25-30 years old
5'08"-5'09"
175-185 lbs
Short brown or black hair with sideburns
Dark colored goatee
Stocky Build
Armed with a semi-automatic handgun, possibly a .25 caliber
Carrying a black canvas tote bag.
