Two Hispanic Males Sought in Bank Robberies
On March 18, 2008, the Denver Police Department and the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force responded to two bank robberies.
At 1:15pm, a robbery occurred at the Compass Bank, 4988 Federal Boulevard, Denver, Colorado. Two Hispanic males entered the bank. Suspect #1 walked up to the teller counter and passed a demand note and verbally demanded money. Suspect #2 stood in the center of the bank lobby. After receiving an undisclosed amount money, both suspects fled the bank and were last seen running eastbound on 50th Avenue.
At 2:04pm, a robbery occurred at the Wachovia Bank, 2807 South Colorado Boulevard, Denver, Colorado. Two Hispanic males entered the bank. Suspect #1 walked up to the teller counter and demanded money. Suspect #2 stood in the center of the bank lobby. After receiving an undisclosed amount money, both suspects fled the bank and were last seen running westbound on Asbury and than northbound on Harrison.
The Hispanics suspects for both bank robberies are described as follows:
Suspect #1: Hispanic male
25-26 years of age
5'05"-5'06", 175-185 lbs
Hair: Brown, short crew cut
Eyes: Dark brown
Facial Hair: Brown tightly trimmed, beard and goatee with real thin side burns.
Tattoo: Possibly a tattoo on the right side of neck.
Clothing: Gray sweatshirt, brown khaki pants, white tennis
sneakers, and dark brown oval sunglasses.
Suspect #2: Hispanic male
23-25 years of age
5'07-5'10"
Thin build
Facial hair: Brown tightly trimmed, beard and goatee with real thin side burns
Clothing: Gray hooded sweatshirt, white baseball hat, dark
colored pants, and white tennis sneakers.
The photographs below have been obtained from bank surveillance cameras.
Anyone with information about the identity of any of the robbers should contact the FBI at (303) 629-7171. There is a substantial cash reward is available to anyone who provides information which leads to the identification and arrest of the robbers.
