FBI Press Release Federal Bureau of Investigation For Immediate Release Today the Federal Bureau of Investigation announced the arrest of a former Olathe resident on a charge of bank robbery. Matthew Charles Tate, 43, was arrested by agents from Grand Junction's FBI office for the July 23, 2004 armed robbery of the Commercial Federal Savings Bank, formerly located at 564 Main Street in Delta. The arrest was made pursuant to a warrant issued by the U.S. Federal Court, District of Colorado, and a criminal complaint charging Tate with one count of bank robbery under Title 18 USC 2113. If convicted, Tate faces a maximum sentence of twenty years in prison. The case was investigated jointly by the FBI and the Delta Police Department,
with assistance from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation criminal laboratory.
Assistant United States Attorney Wyatt Angelo is prosecuting this case.
