For Immediate Release The Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force is requesting the public’s assistance in solving two bank robberies which occurred on April 24 and May 1, 2007. The bank robbery which occurred on April 24, 2007, took place at North Valley Bank located at 8410 Umatilla, Federal Heights, Colorado. An individual wearing a white T-shirt is believed to have entered the bank prior to the bank robbery for purposes of scoping out the bank. Subsequently, an individual described as a Hispanic male, 17 – 18 years of age, approximate height, 5’4” to 5’5”, weighing 130 – 140 pounds, robbed the bank using a note. The bank robbery which occurred on May 1, 2007, took place at the Liberty Savings Bank, located at 7111 West Alameda Avenue, Lakewood, Colorado. An individual wearing glasses is believed to have entered the bank prior to the bank robbery for purposes of scoping out the bank. Subsequently, an individual wearing a hat described as a Hispanic male, 16 – 18 years of age, approximate height 5’2” to 5’4”, weighing 120 – 130 pounds, entered and robbed the bank using a note. The photographs below were obtained from surveillance cameras. The FBI is asking for the media’s assistance in getting this information to the public.
